The Games Village


Unlike many other Games, the Powerco Village and the legendary marquee remain the central focus for the social interaction. The Village is only 5 minutes from the city centre, close to all major accommodation providers and only 10 minutes walk to a majority of the sports venues. Consequently, most participants congregate back at the Village where all sports mix as one.

The Games Village is also adjacent to some of the major sporting venues. In 2003 the Wanganui Village featured a LARGE social tent, a fully catered dining court, adminstration facilities, results and photo tent, an internet cafe, engraving booth, merchandise shop, games adminstration, massage tent and many more excellent features.

In 2005 it will be even BIGGER with even more attractions, services and features for athletes, partners and guests. You will just have to be here!
