| RULES: |
1. All shooters must have a licence or be covered
by a minder with a licence.
2. All shooting will be off hand.
3. All shooters may only use one rifle for the whole competition.
4. Four categories are Flintlock, Percussion, RB Military, Open (any one of these
types can be used for all of the competition).
5. All sights are open ‘u’ or ‘v’ sights, except ‘open’ where
aperture sights may be used.
6. Capping off, and misfires at the discretion of the Range Officer.
7. No glass sights.
8. No spotting by spectators for shooters on the line.
9. Spotting scopes may be used by shooter, only for Vetterly shoot.
10. Flintlock – can be any type of flintlock but must shoot only round
ball. Any other must enter open catagory or military.
11. Percussion rifle – round ball only or enter open.
12. Military – Must be in keeping with genuine military rifle. Brown Bess
smooth bore is allowed. All others must be rifled unless proof can be supplied
otherwise.
13. Open – Any flinter –percussion – military or home built
with open ‘u’ or ’v’ sights or aperture, smooth or rifled,
round ball or bullet.
14. Shoots – all paper. Targets at any distance one-one shot target for
shoot off scoring. One Vetterly at 50 metres. 13 shots. Others set up as required.
15. Lunch break will be roll over style.
16. Disputes will be dealt with accordingly. |
