Waimarie
During the games why not take time out to
do a cruise on the Waimarie.
Waimarie plied the Whanganui River
for 50 years until she sank
at her berth in Wanganui in 1952. Waimarie, the only
surviving paddle steamer has
been salvaged and faithfully restored creating a
unique tourist experience.
